These bookcase drawings shown below will double as entertainment center for 60" plasma monitor. These projects can be made from a few sheets of 3/4" plywood or particle board.

The counter top can be made from 3/4" plywood or particle board, laminated together to make the 1.5" thickness.

The base shelf units are made out of 3/4" plywood with front angles to match the counter top. The bookcase must have cross bracing in the way of a securely screwed 1/4" plywood backing. The counter top must be screwed down to the base bookcase units to avoid collapse.
